Background History

Syabas Energy was founded in Jakarta, Indonesia in 2006.

In February 2006, the shareholders decided to come into Upstream Oil and Gas business in Indonesia. The decision was triggered by the situation of Indonesia Oil and Gas industry where the demand of Crude for domestic use keeps increasing while the level of crude production is sharply declining.

Syabas Energy is designed with the vision to be a leading Oil & Gas Development and Production Company in Indonesia.

Syabas Energy is focused on its core competencies in increasing recovery at low cost development solutions for mature and/or marginal fields or brownfields, at a time in the upstream oil and gas industry where significant opportunities exist to acquire interests in, and to develop, these types of assets.
